Droid Does

I finally got an Android phone. Two, actually. I took advantage of Verizon's two-for-one sale and got Motorola Droids for my wife and myself. This is a decision I anguished over for some time. After all, I'm a Mac user and really wanted to wait for an iPhone. But I just couldn't live with the kooky Pearl "keyboard" any longer.

My first impressions with the Droid have been amazing. This thing makes my blackberry look like a Happy Meal toy. It is fast, stable, and surprisingly polished. Seriously, I was expecting some rough edges due to the relative newness of the platform. But to my surprize the Droid is a stylish, sophisticated device. I won't geek out and list all the nerdy details here (and there is a long list). Head to your local Verizon store and check one out for yourself.
